r.i.p. summer ’10

Hola! Who else feels like this summer has literally flown by? Who me? Couldn’t be.
After some reconsidering, I’m back in New Mexico for my sophomore year at NMSU! The nanny program really left me questioning if it was the right move for me. Also, having a friend (one track ahead of my program) already feeling uncomfortable and confused about the requirements… my bs detectors went up.
I confided in my mom and her husband, my dad and his girlfriend, the bf, and some close friends. The consenses was, I should be happy. 🙂 I thought back to my time at the university and figured I could give it another go. Last year I didn’t have a permanant roomate and this year I do. This year I’m living on campus. I also have a set meal plan (which freaks me out, but will encourage me to use it more).

This year feels like I’m opening myself up to more opportunities. Plus, I’m so excited for every single one of my classes. More on those later. If any fabulous chicas want to keep in touch or be pen pals, let me know! Who doesn’t love getting snail mail. 😀

I loved having an impromptu summer prom with some girlfriends. We all swapped dresses and went out to dinner! It was the best way to finish up the summer before we all returned to school. I can’t wait for break visits! Nothing beats the beach!

How was your summer?
What’s your favorite season? Mine is a tie between summer and fall

Xoxo, Annie

  • Though I am sad to hear you wont be heading to my neck of the woods, I think it is a great idea to try and stick it out for another year.
I am on my 4th *gasp!* school in 4 years because I finally decided to stop trying to please others and just do what I want to do. Best decision ever 🙂

  • Looks like you had an amazing summer! Mine was spent at school..so now doesnt feel any different other than campus is much more crowded and the weather’s a bit cooler. 😛

  • Sweet Cheeks says:

beautiful pictures! Summer is always so much fun. I love it because my schoolyears are always so hectic and it’s nice to just be able to breath and relax. Definitely my favorite season!!!

  • aw this post warmed my heart! You look like you had such a fun, wondeful summer with good friends. Love the idea of ‘prom’ with your buddies and swapping dresses! This post made me smile – it’s fun being a girl! 🙂 My favorite season is winter – love the weather, love cuddling up and I love chili! Winter is the time of year when I SLOW DOWN, and this is fun for me! (i’m a cancer/hermit crab!)

  • Molly says:

ahhh I need summer to slow down. Impromptu prom sounds amazing! I need to steal that idea 🙂

  • That’s totally how I was with going back to school this year. Just kinda sticking it out.. I think after you’re done with sophmore year you get a better perspective… or I hope so haha.
