easy come, easy go

April 8, 2010 § 13 Comments

Hey dolls! This is a bit of a short spring break recap. I think I’ll let the photos do the talking and get back to some homework. 😉
Thank you so so much for all of the sweet and inspiring comments. I’m really enjoying keeping up with your story and I’m thrilled you like reading my daily (…or when I get around to it) ramblings. I love you all. Yes, you!

I haven’t told friends or family I’ve started a blog so picture-taking has been done in private or on my cell phone. Excuse the grainy pics. Here are some good eats over my vacation:

Pasta with cheese sauce, tomatoes, and spinich

Hummus wrap and side salad

Homemade trail mix in the car

Tofu, veggies, rice, and curry

Greek honey yogurt and banana

Granny smith apple and cinnamon

Small Cake Batter Coldstone with strawberries

Now for some activity related pictures! I went swimming, shooting, played with lots of animals, went to a few parties, took daily walks, wrote in my journal, painted, cooked,  caught up on sleep, and visited a new state (to me) Colorado. I think spring break was amazing and I’m counting down the days to summer. I forgot to bring my camera along to many of the places I went. But these are some of the best shots from the trip.

Whoop whoop, shotgun!

Gorgeous Durango, Colorado

Canned black bear

Cinnamon the snake

I got a little artsy

Friends Brent and Ariel

Ed doing his thing

Sam looking far too badass for his own good

My first time shooting- thank goodness for earplugs

Posed friend's puppy Laylah

Spoiled rotten

Christmas card potential!

What do you look for most in a vacation?
Right now being a student I search for inexpensive ways to have a good time. My trip might not have been the most glamorous, but I enjoyed it all the same.

xoxo, Annie

Looks like such a great time. I’m also counting own the days until sweet summer time, glad you enjoyed your break!

I really enjoy your blog, I’m excited to read more! I’m adding you to my blogroll! 🙂

    • Have any fun summer plans? I’m heading back east just in time for mother’s day. I miss that woman! My first plan is going to a Memorial Day weekend strawberry festival in Virginia Beach! Sweet summertime for sure!
PS That is so nice of you to say! I promise to add you too…as soon as I figure out how to do that. 😉 I’m new at this.

I love shooting, but yes it’s so loud! Is that your pet snake??

    • It was so fun! No, not my pet. I was upstate visiting the bf and some old friends. It belongs to one of our close buddies. I was comfortable holding her but couldn’t be around when she fed. *gulp*

  • Looks like a great time! I agree that finding inexpensive ways to have fun is the way to go. Not only do I save money, but it kind of forces/teaches me how to make fun out of any situation rather than rely on outside sources, if that makes sense =)

It is a funny thing, sharing your blog with friends and family. I just let the cat out of the bag, and was so nervous!

Trying new things and going to new places is awesome! I’m not very good at trying new things…I mean, I would love to, but I’m always apprehensive and afraid. I think I could get on the shooting bandwagon though…
I love travelling to new places that I’ve never been before, and exploring them and learning about their culture. That’s an ideal vacation. Or a beach. A beach is always good.

I’ve only told my boyfriend that I have a blog but I’ve been sharing food pics in Facebook for months so I don’t think my friends would be surprised to find out I have blog about food 😀

  • holy cow, snaaaake. errrr! freaky, but it looks like you held your composure, or your breath? :o)

I got the almond cheese at a natural/heath supermarket. I’m pretty sure you can also find it at whole foods near the yogurt and fake-meat section 🙂

  • Just enjoying vacations is the way to go! Some girls go to the beach and burn themselves up in the sun all day, but I wouldn’t recommend that type of “enjoyment.”

Greek yogurt is such a treat! I bought some of that for my spring break, too! (We went to Piggly Wiggly at the beach – it was way overpriced but lots of exotic/gourmet items.)

  • Colorado, totally and completely rocks! If I could live anywhere in the world, I’d probably choose CO.

  • Anna says:

Wow– looks like a great spring break!! I am super excited for summer as well. Thanks for leaving the comment on my blog! Hope your week is off to a good start!

  • Looks like you had a great vacation! I LOVE Colorado and wish that I could live there!
